Jordan began his career as assistant music editor to composer Thomas Newman. He had the pleasure of remaining on the Newman team with music editor Bill Bernstein for several years and worked on many films including; “The Green Mile,” “American Beauty,” “Erin Brockovich” and “The Horse Whisperer.”
Subsequent work as an independent music editor included creating many temp and final scores with composers such as Mark Mothersbaugh, Theodore Shapiro, Patrick Doyle, Aaron Zigman, Richard Gibbs and Stephen Bray.
Along the way, Jordan has garnered recognition from the Motion Picture Sound Editors (two Golden Reel wins and two nominations) and from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (one Emmy nomination). Prior to becoming a music editor, Jordan was a theatre director in NYC (MFA, Yale School of Drama) and played clarinet in concert band.
